Here we pull out a scanned picture from our collection or contributors that is related to either the V.I. past or present. If you have any interesting photo or picture about the V.I. or Victorians that you would like to share in this section, please do send the scanned image in GIF or JPEG format, together with a short write up on it to ooibk@pop.jaring.my.

The grass is already luxuriant and the saplings have been planted that will one day grow into shade trees. Its hundred foot tower is a faint evocation of the spires of far-off Oxford. In 1929, the new V.I. is a brand new Kuala Lumpur landmark in a commanding position on Petaling Hill, visible for miles around.

On March 28, 1929, the big move began from the old V.I. to the new V.I. Starting at 8 in the morning, masters, boys carrying books and pictures and boys pushing bicycles wended their way from the old school in High Street (now Jalan Tun H.S. Lee) to Petaling Hill. The boys were delighted to have their own desks that could be locked. In the old school, they only had linked desks and chairs.
