The 1958 Speech Day Concert wrapped up a busy day of speeches and exhibitions of school work on Wednesday, April 9, 1958. Among the various items on the programme to entertain parents and guests, who included the Raja Muda of Selangor of Selangor and the Minister of Education, were Scottish dances, Negro spirituals and a humorous sketch of a bungled operation. Rounding off the day's events was the singing of the National Anthem by the Sixth Form Girls' Choir led by the Head Girl Shirley Loo Ngai Siong (front left).
