1972 Sportsman of the Year

The VI School Captain of 1972, N. Indran, was named Sportsman of the Year for his outstanding achievements in the field. He represented the school in football from Form One onwards and ended in his senior years representing state and captaining the Selangor Combined Schools and Malaysian Schools sides.

Equally good in rugger, Indran started with the Under 13 team and ended up as Captain of the under-20 First XV.

He also represented the school in the triple jump and the 400 metres event at the MSSS athletics meets. Indran was given public recognition of his prowess with a trip to the Winter Olympics in Osaka in 1972. He also received the Headmaster's award for Outstanding Leadership.
