This photo is entirely made-in-V.I.! The background is the wall facing the cadet quadrangle, the window being that of the Prefects' toilet. The rickshaw boy is Ah Siang, son of the school carpenter, Loh Weng. The rickshaw also belongs to the V.I. - it was one of the last plying the streets of K.L. when Dr Lewis the V.I. Headmaster at that time bought it for $100 (early 1960s). |
