The V.I. Image Gallery

Chan Poh Lum

Chan Poh Lum was at the V.I. from 1954 to 1960. He was a keen scout and a VICC Band member. However the best talent of this amiable lad was in art, especially cartooning, and from 1958 onwards he contributed his talents to The Seladang and The Victorian. His works depict various aspects of V.I. life in the late fifties and early sixties, poking fun at personalities and traditions and exposing various Victorian foibles. He drew five cartoons in all, four of which are displayed here. His current whereabouts are, regrettably, not known.
